Sharecycle & Boro Bricks: Middlesbrough's library of things.

What is it?

Sharecycle offers expensive, infrequently used items at affordable prices to hire: saving you space at home, a lot of money and allows us to share resources with the wider community. Think of it as a library, but instead of books, its useful things. Become a member and explore the inventory to find what you need. Sharecycle items can be hired for a minimum of 1 week.

Boro Bricks works on the pretence that nobody is too old to enjoy Lego. We want to make the joy of building with Lego accessible to as many people as possible. You can borrow your Lego set for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Who are we?

Sharecycle and Boro Bricks forms part of Freestyle Community Projects, a community development organisation dedicated to helping communities across Teesside to flourish.

Can you help us?

We need volunteers to help run this project!

Or maybe you could donate to the Sharecycle library? We are particularly looking for camping equipment, power tools, tea sets and outdoor toys but other donations are also welcome upon approval.

How does it work?

1

Become a member by clicking ‘create account’. We will then confirm your membership. Please note: this is not an automatic process and may take several working days.

2

Once your membership is confirmed, you can browse available items and Lego sets by clicking on 'inventory' from the menu bar. Select your item and follow the process to reserve.

3

Collect your item from the Exchange (see opening hours and location on this page). Once finished with your item drop it back off at The Exchange within the allocated time period. Deliveries can be arranged for Middlesbrough residents only.
